Still have a question? Feel free to text or email us and we will get back to you as soon as possible.

Event Details

  • The MV Skansonia is a decommissioned ferry boat that is securely docked and will remain that way for the entirety of the evening.

  • The boat is docked but it is still on water. But the lake is calm so there shouldn’t be any rocking or swaying involved! If you do happen to feel sick we will have dramamine in the bathroom kit.

  • We hope that everyone is able to take this opportunity to dress up a bit and celebrate in style! Here is a helpful link for what we intend with this dress code:

    https://www.brides.com/story/wedding-dress-code-explained#toc-formal-or-black-tie-optional

While this mentions dark colors for men, feel free to deviate a bit from this.

  • Definitely not, we want everyone to feel comfortable and dressed up.

  • Most events will be indoors, but if the weather cooperates we will hold the ceremony outdoors.

  • While we hope that some events will be able to take place outside, all events are able to be held indoors if necessary for the weather. While we may hold the ceremony outdoors in cooler weather, it will be no longer than half an hour.

If you are concerned about staying warm for this amount of time, please bring outerwear that aligns with the dress code. If rain is forecasted, all events will be indoors.

  • While there is some street parking nearby, there is NO PARKING for guests at the venue, with very limited exceptions (please let us know if you have a disability or limited mobility and we will work to accommodate).

For these reasons, we highly recommend you use a rideshare or taxi.

If you wish to use public transit, it will get you close, but you will need to walk about 10 mins from the closest stop.

  • While there is some street parking nearby, there is NO PARKING for guests at the venue, with very limited exceptions (please let us know if you have a disability or limited mobility and we will work to accommodate)

  • If your invitation is addressed to you and a guest, please do!

  • While we love your little ones, the wedding ceremony and reception is an adults-only celebration. We hope you are able to enjoy a well-deserved night off! However, you may bring children to the welcome party on Friday evening. There will be limited activities available to them, so please be ready to keep them entertained!

  • Yes! There is a ramp to get onto the boat and a 1st level restroom. Please let us know if you have any special needs or would like us to coordinate for parking.

  • Please do not take photos during the ceremony. We would like you present to witness our commitments to each other.

Any other time of the evening, feel free to snap a few pics! We just ask that you don’t bring professional photography equipment.

Lastly, feel free to wave down our photographer if you want a special photo with you and your partner or a small group. She is very flexible!

  • We’ll have an open bar—so come ready to raise a glass!

  • There is a spot in your RSVP to identify any allergies or restrictions, if you forgot to fill it out or any new restrictions pop up, you can edit the RSVP to reflect that. We will always do our best to accommodate!

RSVPs + Updates

  • Yes. If you need to change your RSVP after the cutoff date (September 10th), please email us directly: adnk.wedding@gmail.com

  • The wedding website will have the latest information and will be updated as things change. Any critical updates will be sent via the email you used to RSVP.

  • Feel free to just send to our home address. If you would like to give it in-person, please bring it to the Welcome Party on Friday evening. Please do not bring gifts to the wedding/reception as we have limited options to store and transport items from that venue. Cards with well wishes are always welcome!

  • Feel free to email us directly at our email address up until a week before the wedding: adnk.wedding@gmail.com

As we get closer to the big day, we’ll be fully immersed in final touches and family time. We will provide an alternate contact should you have any questions within a week of the wedding.

Other Weekend Events

  • Standby… we are still working out the details.

  • Please use all the modes of transportation listed above.

  • There is street parking available near this venue. If you are local or happen to rent a car feel free to drive to this event. However we do ask if you have any alcoholic drinks that you have a DD or take a rideshare home.

  • You may bring children to the welcome party on Friday evening. There will be limited activities available to them, so please be ready to keep them entertained!

  • This can be whatever you want it to be. Something that makes you feel good but slightly nice. Feel free to match or coordinate on a theme if you desire.

Seattle

  • Late October historically can be a mixed bag. Definitely be prepared for rain. A light rain coat is usually sufficient. Seattleites pride themselves on not using umbrellas, but we won’t judge. High temperatures are typically between 55 - 62°F with lows around 45°F.

  • We love public transit! The bus and light rail system are pretty easy to navigate and very accessible for all areas of the city. See this website for more information on payment methods, etc.:

    https://support.myorca.com/hc/en-us/articles/10743519362317-Visitor-s-Guide-to-Using-Public-Transit-in-the-Seattle-area

Rideshares (Uber, Lyft, etc.) are also a good option, but may be pricey depending on when you are traveling and how far.

We would not recommend renting a vehicle unless you plan to travel outside of the city. Parking is difficult to come by close to downtown and can be expensive when you can find it.
